THARPARKAR: Three more children died of famine in drought-hit Tharparkar on Thursday.

An outbreak of water borne and food shortage diseases continued to claim lives in Thar as children suffered deprivation of food and water in Mithi while the relief activities in the area has not been launched by the local government.

The death tally has been mounted to 260 while hundreds of other children are under treatment at various hospitals in Tharparkar and Mithi.

The Sindh government is resorting to mere announcements while death toll in Tharparkar is rising as four more minors died at Civil Hospital Mithi.
