Danyal leads rally for LGs today

LAHORE - Former Chairman National Reconstruction Bureau (NRB) Danyal Aziz has said that his party would raise voice against unemployment and would pursue a line of action which would be disastrous for rulers. Talking to Waqt News on Friday, he said people were suffering due to inflation and rulers were unleashing cruelties on the people. He said nazims and ex-nazims would participate in their public meeting on Saturday. He criticised the government for unemployment, inflation and corruption. He said they had prepared a comprehensive plan for solution to Pakistans problems. Staff Reporter adds: Chairman Jeevey Pakistan Jeevey Muqami Hakomat (JPJM) Danyal Aziz has warned the government to restore local government system in real form otherwise the JPJM would field candidates in every constituency of the country in general elections. Talking to newspersons at Lahore Airport Friday, he said that former nazims, under the banner of JMJM, started their movement with a huge convention at Gujranwala last month. Now, second phase of movement has started under which conventions would be organized in Sargodha, Sukkar and Multan on November 19, 21 and 23 respectively, added Danyal. He claimed that Saturdays (today) convention at Sargodha would be a successful show of power where thousands of people would raise voice against price-hike, unemployment and inflation, and would also express solidarity with JPJMs struggle for restoration of local government system. He said local government system is beauty of democracy and guarantee for development but corrupt leadership could not tolerate this. He said that provincial governments were misusing funds of billions of rupees, generated by local governments. He remarked that federal and provincial rulers tried their utmost to prove corruption against former nazims but failed because corruption was not an easy task in local government system. Present rulers have given nothing to the masses but unemployment, inflation, price-hike and high rate of markup that compelled the JPJM to come to roads and streets to mobilise people against exploitation, said Danyal. He said after finishing second phase of struggle, the JPJM would announce third phase.
