PESHAWAR  - Federal Minister for Communication, Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan on Sunday visited Dera Ismail Khan and expressed condolence with the Deputy Speaker, National Assembly, Faisal Kareem Khan Kundi on the death of his father.
The minister arrived at Kundi House and expressed his condolences with Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Kareem Khan Kundi at the sad demise of his father, former MNA, Fazal Kareem Khan Kundi.
He remained for some time with the bereaved family, praised his social and political services and prayed for eternal peace of his departed soul.
The Federal Minister reached D.I.Khan from Peshawar through Indus
Highway where a warm reception was accorded to him at the Hujra of GM (KP) NHA Fazle Nawab Khattak in Karak. A large number of PPP supporters and media personnel welcomed him.
He also inspected newly constructed Gambaila-to-D.I.Khan Highway N-55.
While talking to the dignitaries of the area, the Federal Minister said that District Karak is of particular importance in the Southern Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to its high literacy rate. He said that with the discovery of natural gas in the area, the whole region will strengthen economically and employment opportunities will be provided to the people of the area. The General Manager of the project, Mian Muhammad Asghar, while briefing the Federal Minister in Serai Gambaila, said that Rs. 5 billion have been spent on 117 kilometers Serai Gambaila-to-D.I.Khan Highway.
On this occasion, the Federal Minister, while talking to the people of the area, said that this highway is under much pressure from the traffic flow from the Southern Districts and with the construction of Dera Bypass, Sindh and Baluchistan Provinces have been connected with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and distances have been minimized which will facilitate trade and industry in all the three provinces.
Arbab Alamgir Khan said that the present government is paying exclusive attention to the uplift of Southern Districts and record development work has been carried out in these areas.
