CPO pledges changing thana culture

GUJRANWALA - City Police Officer Ihsan Tufail on Tuesday expressed his desire to bring drastic change in the prevailing Thana culture and assured that concrete steps were being taken for this purpose. He said that all monetary and dishonour cheques disputes would be solved through the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He stated this while addressing a meeting of Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industry which was chaired by its President Malik Zaheerul Haq. The CPO pointed out that former DIG Zulfiquar Ahmad Cheema had set standards of high class policing in Gujranwala and he would try his best to maintain this distinction. To nab crimes, we have to ensure promulgation of criminal justice system in which Police, Judiciary and Jail department coordinate with each other for better results, he argued. Ihsan Tufail said that the police patrolling would be made more effective to maintain law and order which would help enhance economic activities in the city. On the occasion, the CPO, on behalf of the police, assured the businessmen community of all-out cooperation in maintaining law and order situation, adding that criminals would find no place in the district anymore.
