PESHAWAR-Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Sirajul Haq, has appealed the government and protesting parties to hold dialogue to avert intrusion of undemocratic forces in the country’s politics.

“We appeal politicians to hold dialogue for the sake of democracy and for the sake of people of Pakistan,” he urged leadership of protesting Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the government.

“If a third force interferes for mediation, it is complete failure and ineligibility of politicians,” said Haq while speaking at a press conference in Peshawar.

In reply to a question, he said his party “will only support a legal and constitutional way for change of government as all other means are illegal,” referring to protest march by PTI and PAT aimed at toppling the PML-N government.

He said JI would not support dissolution of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly by PTI.
