US wants peaceful solution to Islamabad crisis

WASHINGTON - Advocating restraint from violence, the United States has advised all parties in Pakistani political crisis to resolve their differences through dialogue.
“We believe that all parties should work together to resolve their difference through peaceful dialogue in a way that strengthens Pakistan’s democracy,” Deputy Spokesperson at the State Department Marie Harf said at the daily briefing.
Her comments came in response to a question regarding the political stalemate in Islamabad as Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek marched on the capital.
“We are carefully monitoring. We urge all sides to refrain from violence, exercise restraint and respect the rule of law,” the spokesperson said.
