LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif disregards the change call given by Pakistan Awami Tehrik Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri.
Talking to TheNaon, the chief minister said the PAT chief posed no threat at all to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. He said that anybody who tried to get the elections delayed would deal a blow to the national interests. Qadri is scheduled to address a public meeting at the Minar-i-Pakistan on December 23 upon his return to Pakistan. His party has launched a massive advertisement campaign to attract people towards the event.
The PAT chairman has called for the change of the existing electoral system because it is failed to surface new leadership despite several elections.
