Maulana Zafar paid glowing tributes

 SIALKOT - Various people visited the grave of Maulana Zafar Ali Khan in Karamabad, Wazirabad on the eve of his 141st birth anniversary and laid floral wreaths there besides offering Fateha and paying rich tributes to Baba-e-Sahafat.
They praised Maulana for his meritorious services towards Urdu language, poetry, journalism, Pakistan Movement and Islam. They revealed that he had extraordinary talent. He was the father of Urdu journalism.
Maulana had highly admired the revolutionary poetry of Allama Iqbal.
He spent most of his life in politics. He was a great poet, orator, essayist of exceptional merit and journalist. His interest in poetry began in his childhood. His poems were full of religious and political sentiments. He was specially versed in impromptu compositions.
His poetical output has been published in “Baharistan”, “Nigaristan”, and “Chamanistan”. His other works are “Marka-e-Mazhab-o-Science”, “Ghalba-e-Rum”, “Sayr-e-Zulmet” and an opera “Jang-e-Roos-o-Japan”. He was a lover of Islam and of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
