Veteran politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has demanded UNO to enact laws prohibiting insult of any faith.
Talking to the journalists here on Monday, he stressed upon the Muslims world over to boycott France on social and economic fronts. He added that the Europe and America would bow down before Muslims and no one would ever dare to publish sacrilegious material if the rulers of Muslim states exhibited unity.
He said that publication of blasphemous caricatures was a big conspiracy to bring Christians and Muslims face to face. He lashed out at the Jews and said that the tale of Holocaust was a fake story created by the Jews for their own protection. He said that Europe conspired to immerse the world in blood as it was the era of nuclear bombs and missiles. He asked Christian world not to give refuge or protection to those committing blasphemy. He warned that all the Muslims were ready to sacrifice their lives for the protection of sanctity of the Holy Prophet (SAWW), adding that those starting this war were not aware of the horrible consequences.  
Meanwhile, the lawyers of Multan on Monday boycotted court work on the call of Pakistan Bar Council to condemn the blasphemous caricatures by the French magazine. They burnt the effigies of cartoonists and the editor Stephane Charbonnier to express their anger.
They staged a demonstration under the leadership of Syed Athar Shah Bukhari President of High Court Bar. Similarly, District Bar organised a big rally which was led by Khalid Mehmood Khan President and Khalid Ghani General Secretary.
Saraikistan Awami Ittehad, Jamaatud Dawah, Anjuman Tajiran, Muttahida Muslim Movement of religious parties and All Pakistan Kissan Ittehad staged demonstrations in the city and burnt the French National flag.

DBA, TBAs observed strike against profane sketches

The District Bar Association members observed a complete strike on Monday to condemn the publication of blasphemous caricatures in a French magazine. Strike was also observed by the lawyers at Gojra, Kamalia and Pirmahal.
The lawyer took out rallies and chanted slogans against the desecration. They demanded the Muslim rulers to get united against the publication and chalk a line to action to stop recurrence of any such incident in the future.
Meanwhile, PML-N MNA Chaudhry Asadur Rehman inaugurated two new feeders of Darkhana and Pirmahal city at Pirmahal Fesco grid station. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the establishment of both the new feeders, there would be less power loadshedding in Pirmahal.
