ISLAMABAD: Chairman Move on Pakistan, Muhammad Kamran, was arrested on charges of erecting controversial posters in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi and other cities urging Army Chief General Raheel Sharif to take over.

"Talk of leaving has become old, for God’s sake come now," stated the posters.

The posters, which also appeared in Lahore, Karachi and the garrison city of Rawalpindi as well as several army-run cantonment areas, were placed there by "Move on Pakistan", a largely-unknown political party founded in 2013.

Muhammad Kamran was detained from F 6/1 Islamabad on early Wednesday morning. Several cases were registered against him in various cities for spreading chaos and unrest in the country through controversial posters.

Muhammad Kamran was shifted to some undisclosed location for further investigation.
