LAHORE- Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has expressed grief over the sad demise of Tahira Asif.
The MQM has announced three days of mourning over the death of its MNA Tahira Asif in a Lahore, however, the transport and the businesses will remain open.
Tahir Asif was shot and injured on Wednesday and succumbed to her bullet wounds on late Thursday night in a local hospital, during the treatment.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain has also endorsed the party's decision but asked the transporters, businessmen and people to continue their routine activities during the mourning.
He said that that Tahira Asif kept speaking truth despite being threatened. He lamented that no security was provided to the MQM lawmaker despite the threats. Hussain demanded of the government to immediately arrest the elements involved in the murder of the MNA.
