Rs3.6m bank heist in North Nazimabad

KARACHI – Bandits looted Rs3.6 million from a bank branch situated in Block-A, North Nazimabad within the premises of North Nazimabad police station.
According to details, some gunmen barged into the bank and held the staff hostage on gunpoint.
Police said the robber looted amount from the ATM and cash counters and escaped on a car and motorbikes with the booty.
Police said the robbers were not even tried to sabotage the CCTV footages and completed their successful operation within 10 minutes.
DSP Haider Ali told The Nation that operatives of militant outfit, with one out of three security guards of a private company, was deployed at the bank recently. He was involved in the incident and escaped along with the bandits. Police have conducted raid on the suspected guard’s residence in Frontier Colony and detained his two brothers.
