Former Punjab chief minister and PML-N leader Shahbaz Sharif has decided to vacate Provincial Assembly seat of PP-247, leaving the party in a fix to decide the candidate for the by-elections on the vacant seat. Shahbaz Sharif had secured 47,431 votes.
The party local leader told this scribe that the PML-N would have to field a strong candidate for the by-elections on the seat.
After Shahbaz Sharif’s decision to withdraw from PP-247 Rajanpur, the PML-N leadership convened a meeting in Lahore to choose next candidate for the constituency.
There was no decision in this regard yet. DACOITS SWEEP HOUSE: The dacoits and robbers remained active in the district and took away cash and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees in a strike here the other night.
Reportedly, six dacoits entered the house of a local doctor Ch Mohammad Sardar situated in nearby village. They took hostage all the family members including women and children and started looting at gunpoint. The accused looted Rs0.4 million two cellphones and fled away. The City Police have registered a case.
