ISLAMABAD- The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) today said that Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) industry had been facing discrimination for so many years.

Central Chairman APCNGA, Pervaiz Khan Khattak in a statement said the cost of electricity has been revised three times recently. He said that using diesel generators during power load shedding coupled with other expenses had pushed the CNG industry into a tunnel. The industry can only survive if the government orders upward revision in the price of fuel, he added.

The CNG business will only become somewhat viable if the prices are raised by Rs 10 per kg. The government is forcing CNG operator to close businesses, resulting in massive joblessness, he warned. The leader of the CNG sector asked authorities to intervene to save the collapsing CNG sector which is being compromised to benefit other segments.
