Closure of railway station cycle stand irks people

OUR STAFF REPORTER KHANEWAL - Cycle stand of the city railway station has been closed for the last two month without any reason as people facing problems in parking their vehicles outside the railway junction and the Railways also facing financial loss due to this, TheNation learnt. According to detail, Khanewal railway junction is one of the busiest station of South Punjab, from where thousand of passengers travel for upper and lower sides of the country, but due to defective administrative control of the commercial section of railway station, the cycle stand has been closed for the last two month and people are facing problem to park their precious vehicles outside the station. It is also learnt that some vehicles have been stolen from the location, which were parked unsecured. People and civil society demanded Pakistan Railways General Manger, Federal Minister for Railways, and Divisional Superintendent Multan to take the notice of this serious issue. 4th death anniversary of Allahyar Hiraj: The fourth death anniversary of late MPA Sardar Allahyar Hiraj was held at his residence in Civil Lines here on Thursday. He was the father of the prime ministers special adviser Sardar Ahmad Yar Hiraj, ERA chairman Sardar Hamid Yar Hiraj and MPA Muhammad Yar Hiraj. A large number of people from all walks of life, including politicians, former nazimeen, councillors and religious scholars, attended the anniversary. Quran Khawani was also held. Condolence: Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Naib Ameer Chaudhry Uzair Latif, Khanewal District Ameer Mian Farrukh Rehman Kamboh, General Secretary Rao Irtifa Ziaullah Khan and Information Secretary Muhammad Amir Azeem has offered heartfelt condolences to the family of JIs Mian Channu chief over his sad demise. The JI leader and his four family members died in a road accident in Katcha Khu area of Khanewal. They said that this was a irrecoverable loss. We all are missing our companion. They prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in peace.
