MINCHINABAD - DSP Rao Jamshaid has said the police have finalised a comprehensive security plan to maintain peace and ensure security for Majalis, processions and around Imambargahs during the holy month of Muharram.
In this connection, a special meeting was held under Assistant Commissioner to review arrangements at TMA Office here the other day.
DSP Rao Jamshaid, TMO Mohammad Aslam, Tehsildar and religious scholars from all schools of thought attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the AC asked the religious scholars of all sects to follow the code of conduct to ensure peace during Muharram besides forging unity for religious harmony.
According to decision of the meeting, wall chalking, distribution of hatred and provocative literature will be banned across while Peace Committees will remain in liaison with the intelligence and police committees and religious leaders at Tehsil level to ensure effective monitoring.
