Teachings of Baba Fareed beacon of light for all

PAKPATTAN - Millions Of people embraced Islam only due to the preaching of Hazrat Baba Fareeduddin Masood Ganj-e-Shakr (RA) in subcontinent. This was stated by Dewan Azmat Said Muhammad Chishti, Chairman Baba Fareed Education and Welfare Trust while addressing Baba Fareed National Conference here the other day.
He pointed out that the preaching of Baba Fareed based on love and brotherhood and that's why despite lapse of 770 years millions of people were still visiting his shrine to get benefitted from spiritual guidance.
He stressed that solution of all prevailing problems and challenges confronted by the masses laid in following in the teachings and footprints of Baba Fareed.
On the occasion, famous religious scholars including Dewan Syed Aale Habib Ali Khan Sajjada Nasheen Ajmair Sharif (India), Syed Habib Irfani, Khawaja Fareeduddin Fakhri, Khawaja Mian Qasim Maharvi, Khawaja Nasarul Mehmood Taunsvi, Khawaja Moin Mehboob Koreja, Khawaja Shamim Sabir Sabri and others also addressed the conference.
Meanwhile, the proceedings of 770th Urs of Baba Fareed continued in full swing. Millions of people from across the country have reached Pakpattan to attend the Urs celebrations.
Dewan Moudood Masood Chishti Sajjada Nasheen of shrine is performing the Urs rituals.
DCO Syed Haider Iqbal told The Nation that all-out arrangements had been made and the administration was striving to provide better facilities to the devotees. Meanwhile, DPO Ch Mushtaq expressed preparedness for the Urs, saying that comprehensive security was being followed to avert any contingency on the auspicious occasion. He said that about 2,000 police personnel including officers would be deployed on the occasion of opening of Behishti Darwaza (Paradise Gate) of the shrine.
Moreover, TMO Fida Iftikhar Mir that the TMA had also completed its arrangements and it officials were busy in better management of the proceedings. It is to be noted that about 2.5 million people attend the 15-day-long Urs celebrations. Behishti Darwaza will be opened on November 20.
Meanwhile, Provincial Minister Malik Nadeem Kamran also visited Pakpattan to inspect arrangements for the Urs and Muharram.
Ban imposed: The district administration has banned carrying and displaying of firearms, display of provocative banners and posters, distribution of provocative pamphlets and speeches by Ulema of any sect and assembly of more than five persons except Majalis or other religious gatherings during Muharram.
