LAHORE - Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza has formed a 10-member committee in connection with preparations for the upcoming local government polls and negotiations with other parties for seat adjustments.
The committee members are: Haji Hanif Tayyab, Tariq Mehboob, Pir Atharul Qadri, Ammar Saeed Sulemani, Mian Faheem Akhtar, Pir Syed M Iqbal Shah, Mufti M Saeed Rizvi, Sarfraz Tarar, Rana Irfan and Sheikh Zulfiqar Rizvi. The committee will evolve polls strategy and finalise the names of candidates.
According to a statement, the SIC will contest the LB elections by allying with other likeminded parties. For this purpose, negotiations have been started with other parties.
