KASUR
A girl was gang-raped and a boy was sodomised in separate incidents in different areas of Kasur on Monday.
The girl was gang-raped with the help of the main accused’s sister in the limits of Allahabad Police.
One Muhammad Siddiq told the Allahabad Police that Maria Bibi, sister of the main accused Shehzad, took his daughter on some pretext to fields outside the village. When she did not return after a long time, they started search for her but to no avail. In the meantime, someone informed them that Maria Bibi’s brother Shehzad had kidnapped his daughter. He said that next day his daughter managed to escape from the clutches of Shehzad and reached home. She revealed that Shehzad had taken her to an unknown place, where he and his unidentified friends gang-raped her. The Allahabad Police have registered a case.
In the other incident, a 12-year-old was on the way to a friend’s house when accused Arif Ali alias Balli enticed him away to his Haveli. There he subjected the child to unnatural act. On the hue and cry of the boy, locals gathered around and Balli managed to escape from the scene, leaving the boy in critical condition. The Raja Jang Police have registered a case against the culprit.
Four killed in road mishaps
Four persons including a retired police sub-inspector were killed and a police constable was seriously injured in different traffic accidents the other day.
Ahmed Ali and Ejaz Ahmed of Bonga Hayat, district Pakpattan were going to Lahore when a speeding bus coming from the opposite direction hit their car. Resultantly, both the car riders sustained critical injuries. They were rushed to a hospital but they succumbed to their injuries in midway. Javed Nazir of Renala Khurd, was fixing signboard of a political party in Ahmed Bhatti Chowk when a speeding car ran over him.
A retired sub-inspector of Lahore police was on the way back home on a motorbike when he collided head-on with another bike near Chah Kallanwala and died. Yet another constable of Kot Radha Kishan Police, collided with a donkey-car while riding a motorbike and badly injured. He was referred to a Lahore hospital.
