Terrorists hiding in Dattakhel: Army

ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Army on Friday said it would chase and hunt down terrorists hiding in remote tribal areas in North Waziristan Agency.
In a message on micro-blogging website Twitter, the ISPR spokesman said that many terrorists are hiding in Dattakhel area and even beyond. He said that terrorists have been effectively targeted through ground and air assaults, adding that those hiding would also be chased. In the last couple of days, dozens of militants have been killed in airstrikes in operation Zarb-e-Azb against the outlawed TTP.
4 MILITANTS KILLED IN KHYBER BLAST
At least four suspected militants were killed in a remote-controlled explosion in Khyber Agency on Friday.
According to Khasadar Force, the explosion occurred at Sipah area in Tehsil Bara of Khyber Agency when the militants in a vehicle were targeted with a remote control device planted on roadside. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the powerful blast.
The sources said that the militants were from the outlawed Lashkar-e-Islam group.
They were travelling in their vehicle when they were hit by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted along a roadside.
The vehicle was of LI commander Shams who was not present in it at the time of the explosion, the sources said.
They said that the vehicle was completely destroyed in the explosion and four militants were killed as a result.
The explosion comes weeks after former LI spokesman Zar Khan was gunned down by unknown assailants, also in Bara. The identity of victims could not be ascertained yet. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Khasadar Force reached the spot and started investigations.
