Islamabad: Chinese President Xi Jinping was conferred with Pakistan’s highest civil Award” Nishan-e-Pakistan,” at an impressive ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr today.
The Award was given by President Mamnoon Hussain. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Ministers, Provincial Chief Ministers, members of the Parliament, Services Chiefs, members of the Chinese delegation and senior civil and military officials.
The Citation read out on the occasion said that, President Xi is trusted friend of Pakistan who believes that the two peoples are Iron brothers. President Xi has been instrumental in further strengthening and enhancing relations, taking them to new heights. The government of Pakistan deeply appreciates President Xi’s visionary leadership and personal commitment in making China-Pakistan Economic Corridor a reality for shared prosperity for the peoples of the two countries.
“In recognition of his remarkable services to the cause of strengthening the exemplary relationship between Pakistan and China the President has conferred Pakistan’s highest civil Award “Nishan-e-Pakistan” the citation concluded.
