SKARDU: President Mamnoon Hussain has assured that federal government will generously support the development projects in Gilgit-Baltistan.

He was speaking at a briefing on the power generation projects of Gilgit-Baltistan in Skardu on Sunday.

The president directed for connecting the power projects in Gilgit-Baltistan with the national grid at the earliest. He said the step will bring about fast-track development to the region.

Mamnoon also stressed the need for enhancing pace on the projects of regional grid and power production in the region.

He said the fruits of these projects should reach people as early as possible.
