12 officials NABbed over Rs70m fraud

QUETTA - The National Accountability Bureau on Monday arrested 12 Agriculture Department officials for their alleged involvement in corruption.
A NAB court ordered the authorities to arrest 12 officials of Balochistan Agriculture Department and sent them on 12-day remand for investigation into Rs70.38 million fraud in Pat Feeder Command Area Development Project in Dera Murad Jamali.
The detainees include Yar Muhammad Pundrani, Ghulam Rasool Gujjar, Mahmood Ahmad, Rasool Bakhsh Luni, Muhammad Shareef, Munir Ahmad, Muhammad Raseed Mastoi, Karim Bakhsh, Mumtaz Ali, Abdus Sattar Lashari, Muhammad Aslam and Ehsanul Haq.
The Balochistan High Court and the Supreme Court had already rejected their bail before arrest applications.
