QUETTA - Two separate landmine blasts claimed two lives in in Jaffarabad and Chamalang areas of Balochistan on Monday.
In the first incident, the wife of Riaz Bugti with her daughter was coming out of her home in Gott Bashir Mandorani area of Jaffarabad when she suddenly stepped on a landmine laid by unidentified people. The mine exploded with a big bang, killing the daughter of Riaz Bugti on the spot. The local administration moved the dead and injured to hospital.
In the second incident, Muhammad Shafi, a shepherd, was killed in a landmine explosion in Chamalang.
Sources in Levies Force said that Muhammad Shafi was on his way when he stepped on the landmine.
The administration handed over the body to heirs after completing legal formalities.
