ISLAMABAD/KARACH - President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other political leaders on Monday condemned the Rawalpindi suicide attack in which 13 people including five Army men died.
In their separate messages President Mamnoon Hussain and PM Nawaz Sharif expressed their deep sorrow over the unfortunate incident. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah have also denounced the attack.
MQM Chief Altaf Hussain in his message from London urged the government to urgently decide whether or not to hold dialogue with the Taliban as bomb blasts on daily basis have spread a sense of despair amongst the general public.
Altaf Hussain urged the people to unite against the enemies of Pakistan.
PTI Chief Imran Khan in his twitter message dubbed the attack as 'inhuman act.' "While federal government still deciding on a counter terror policy, our civilians & soldiers are being martyred in daily acts of terror," he said in his tweet.
Rawalpindi attack came only a day after Taliban bombing in which over 20 soldiers were martyred in Bannu.
BILAWAL BLASTS TTP
PPP Patron-in-Chief Bilawal Zardari condemned the killing of 10 innocent people in the Rawalpindi suicide attack, and said that the nation’s patience was running out against Taliban.
“Instead of inventing fictional pro-war lobby, everybody should just admit that the TTP is an enemy and has no interest in talks or peace,” he stated.
He said it was surprising that some of the Taliban apologists were blaming the foreign countries for using Taliban against Pakistan, but they are still adamant to hold talks with such deadly enemies.
The PPP chairman further said that every drop of blood being sacrificed by the innocent citizens and nation’s brave armed forces is creating unity and consensus that the beasts could never be lured through roses and they need to be responded to in the same language. Bilawal also sympathised with the bereaved families, saying he personally shares their grief as he himself has lost his mother in the nation’s war for survival. He demanded for the best medical treatment to all the injured in the attack.
