MARDAN - Unidentified robbers looted the house of a retired professor in the limits of City Police Station, police sources said on Sunday. Fatih Mohammad Khan, a retired professor, resident of Canal Road Bijlighar, reported to the City police that at Iftar time bell of his home was rung and when he came out four persons pretending themselves as policemen asked him for searching his home.
He said that the accused put their guns at him, locked him and his wife in a room and started searching the house.
He said after 35 minutes when they came out through a window, the robbers took away 25 tola gold ornaments, Rs5,00,000 cash, 32 bore pistol and 2 mobile sets. Police registered a case against unknown robbers and started investigation.
