Eidul Fitr celebrated with prayers for prosperity, unity

Eidul Fitr was celebrated with religious zeal, fervour and traditional festivity and special prayers were offered for the prosperity, development and sovereignty of Pakistan, unity of Muslim Ummah and liberation of occupied Kashmir, Palestine and Rohingya Muslims, amid elaborated security.
According to details, in Sialkot, Eidul Fitr was celebrated with religious fervour and traditional enthusiasm across the district, amid tight security. Main Eid congregations were held at Sialkot, Bhopalwala-Sambrial, Pasrur, Badiana, Chawinda and surrounding areas, where thousands of faithful offered Eidul Fitr prayer. The local religious scholars highlighted the philosophy of Eidul Fitr and pledged to make all-out sincere joint efforts for the glory of Islam, urging the Muslim Ummah to be united for curbing the menace of anti-Islam international conspiracies. They also prayed for the peace, prosperity and development of Pakistan and unity of the Muslim Ummah.
Local elected representatives, religious organisations, NGOs and CSOs distributed Eid gifts and packets of food among patients at local hospitals and local poor, deserving and needy people in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur here.
Sialkot DOC Malik Abid Awan informed that the police and other law enforcement agencies remained at high alert in to avert any untoward incident on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Fitr. The DOC revealed that the security was tightened at all the mosques, churches, Imambargahs, Eidgahs, religious seminaries and other public places, where the police personal kept 24 vigilance on the dubious persons to avert any untoward incident on the Eid.
In Ahmedpur East, Eidul Fitr was celebrated in the Sub-division with fervour and enthusiasm. As many as, 103 Eid congregations were held at open places, Eidgahs, mosques and Imambargahs of the Ahmedpur East City and towns of Uch Sharif, Dera Nawab Sahib, Mubarakpur and Chanigoth.
Main Eid congregation was held in Markazi Eidgah Mamoon Park which was led by Maulana Mufti Muhammad Ahmed Mehmoodi while Nawab Slahuddin Abbasi along with other leading members of Abbasi family offered Eid prayers in Royal Eidgah Dera Nawab Sahib. A large number of citizens representing all walks of life met Nawab Slahuddin Abbasi at his residence Sadiqgarh Palace Dera Nawab Sahib, who were served with sweets and soft drinks.
During Eid congregations, Khateebs in their sermons underlined the need for the unity of Muslim Ummah and prayed for the liberation of Palestine and Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The Circle Police under the supervision of ASP Mahzor Ali Ghauri had made foolproof security arrangement to meet any untoward incident.
Police cops and Jawans of Qaumi Razakar Force were deployed around mosques and Imambargahs on the eve of Eid prayers.
Similarly, the TMA had made special cleanliness arrangements to improve sanitary conditions in city. However people complained that filthy water remained in Union Councils 2 and 4 of Ahmedpur East.
Eid festival was also celebrated in Dera Nawab Cantonment where Station Commander attended Bara Khana with Jawans of Pakistan Army.
In Toba Tek Singh, Eidul Fitre was celebrated with great religious fervour all over the district. At main places of congregations, special security arrangements were made by the police and mosques’ administration through private security guards to avoid any terrorist activity. The meat and chicken sellers looted the customers with both hands and charged their own rates while fruits and vegetables were also sold on Eid day and on Sunday and Monday at very high prices.
In Khanewal, the residents celebrated Eidul Fitr across the district on Saturday with fervour, traditional serenity and festivity. In hundreds of Eidgahs, Masajids, open places and parks, Eidul Fitr prayer was offered. A large number of children also attended the prayer with their parents, wearing colourful dresses. The main Eid congregations was held at Markazi Eidgah Civil Lines, Jamia Iniyatia Old Sabzi Mandi, Markzi Jamia Masjid Ahle Hadith, Maki Masjid Aah Wai Block-5 Khanewal, Jamia Malikiya Majdid Aik Minar, Than Ground, Railway ground, sports stadium and other place of all the tehsils in the district. Khateebs including renowned clerics in their sermons said that celebration of Eidul Fitr culminated a month of fasting wherein the faithful have spent their time praying and beseeching Allah for forgiveness and mercy. For many, Ramazan was not just an abstention from food and drink. Rather, it was an exercise in patience and discipline. Fasting is a prescription for self-control in order to fight against the forces of evil, and struggle for the supremacy of truth and goodness, equality and freedom and other higher values. Tight security arrangements were made by the district police.
In Bahawalpur, Eidul Fitr was celebrated with religious zeal and enthusiasm.
The main Eid congregations were held at Central Eidgah besides Satellite Town, Hamaytian, Govt SE College, Govt SD High School, Govt Abbasia High School and Bahawalpur Cantonment which were largely attended by the faithful of all age groups while the enthusiasm of children was worth seeing.
The Imams and Khateebs on the occasion urged to follow the teachings of Islam and Sunnah (PBUH) and highlighted the Eid philosophy and significance of the day.
Special prayers were offered for peace, national integrity and solidarity side by side progress and prosperity of the country, wellbeing of the Muslim Ummah and unity among Muslims and nation besides early resolution of Held Jammu & Kashmir as well as Palestine disputes. The police had made special security arrangements on the occasion and no untoward incident had been reported from any part of the district.
In Hafizabad, Eidul Fitr was offered at more than 300 Eidgahs, mosques and Imambargahs in Hafizabad, Pindi Bhattian, Sukheke Mandi, Jalalpur Bhattian, Kaleke Mandi, Kolo Tarar, Rasulpur Tarar, Vanike Tarar, Madhrianwala, Chak Chattha and other towns across the district, amid rain and tight security. No untoward incident was reported from anyplace. Special prayers for the unity, peace and integrity and solidarity were offered. The Ulema stressed upon the believers to hold fast the rope of Almighty Allah and create atmosphere of tolerance, forbearance and national cohesion. They also called upon the government to introduce Islamic order in letter and spirit.
However, the shopkeepers and vendors of fruit and vegetables, poultry dealers and restaurants have increased rates on this auspicious occasion.
