ISLAMABAD : Pakistan Friday called upon all the segments of Iraqi society to strive for peace and harmony. Foreign Office Spokesperson in a statement said that the people and the government of Pakistan have noted with deep anguish and concern the recent escalation of violence in Iraq. As a brotherly country with longstanding relations with the people of Iraq, Pakistan calls upon all the segments of Iraqi society to strive for peace and harmony.
 “At the same time, we call for respect for the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq,” the spokesperson added.
