HAFIZABAD - A comprehensive security plan has been chalked out by the district police by taking into account latest security tips and more than 2,100 police personnel including Qaumi Razakars and special policemen have been deployed to guard the participants of 735 Majalis and 132 Alam, Zuljinnah, Mehdi and Tazia processions at different places across the district.
Moreover, 24 places have been declared sensitive in the district and policemen particularly SHOs have been put on red alert at these places.
Meanwhile, the licencees of different processions and organizers of different Majalis have also been advised to keep a vigilant eye over the suspicious persons and intimate about their activities to the authorities promptly.
Meanwhile, special pickets have been set up at all entry points of the district and in pursuance of the directive of the Punjab government recording of all Majalis, religious gatherings and processions would be carried out and misuse of loudspeaker has totally been prohibited. In this connection, 62 persons have been booked for the misuse of loudspeaker so far.
On the other hand, the district administration banned the entry of 20 religious scholars into the district for two months. They are: Maulana Syed Irfan Mashhadi (Mandi Bhauddin), Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi (Kamalia), Maulana Abdul Aziz Khateeb Lal Masjid (Islamabad), Malik Muhammad Ishaq (RY Khan), Maulana Abdul Hameed Wattoo (Qila Didar Singh), Maulana Masror Nawaz (Jhang), Maulana Muavia Azam Tariq (Jhang), Maulana Alam Tariq (Checha Watni), Maulana Aurangzaib Farooqi (Karachi), Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Ghumman (Sargodha), Maulana Zia Ullah Shah Bukhari (Gujrat), Maulana Ghulam Rasool (Bahawalnagar), Syed Sabtain Shah Naqvi (Sargodha), Hafiz Abdul Rauf Yazdani (Gujranwala), Maulana Nasir Abbas (Multan), Naseem Jawadi (Lahore), Syed Asif Ali Gilani (Hujra Shah Muqeem), Azhar Ali Haidri (Rahwali), Sarfraz Haider Kazmi (Sialkot) and Muhammad Yousaf Rizvi Toka (Sargodha). Moreover, the gagging orders for 11 religious scholars have been issued. They are: Zaker Ansar Ali Ranjha (Kaleke), Zaker Mukhtar Ahmad Qummi (Pindi Bhattian), Rana Jamshaid Tabbassum, Qari Shabbir Ahmad, Hafiz Muhammad Qasim Goraya, Umar Farooq, Tahir Ashraf, Latif Shahbaz, Javed Farooqi, Azhar Hussain Kazmi and Ghulam Mustafa Toor (Hafizabad).
According to the security plan, trained dogs, cellphone jammers and walkthrough gates have been provided to police personnel for ensuring foolproof security.
