ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday removed the cause list of the cases, including an appeal filed against the extension of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, fixed for hearing on November 22 by a two-member bench comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi. The Islamabad High Court authorities on Tuesday told journalists that Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi had completed their tenure, so they could hear no petition after November 20.  It is important to mention here that a bench of the Islamabad high Court comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi was to hear the petition filed against the extension of the chief of the army staff.  The members of the bench which was hearing the intra court appeal filed against the army chief's extension completed their tenure on 20 November, 2012, so the IHC registrar withdrew the cause list of the fixed cases scheduled to be heard by the bench.
