NOWSHERA VIRKAN -Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mushtaq Ahmed Jowia has stressed the need for unity, harmony and tolerance and urged the citizen to shun differences for the glory of Islam and curbing the menace anti-Muslim global conspiracies. He was talking to media over the loss of precious lives and property in the recent Rawalpindi clashes, here the other day.
He said that hidden hands were involved in the incident, adding that such elements were the enemies of Islam and wanted to disrupt peace in the country.
Ameer e said that Ulema, politicians and general public should play their role for unity, religious harmony and brotherhood to foil the nefarious designs of those creating hurdles. He said peace of Rawalpindi was destroyed taking precious lives and urged the people to remain peaceful and maintain the atmosphere of peace and brotherhood by demonstrating patience and tolerance.
While addressing the Tehsil Peace Committee, MNA Chaudhry Azhar Qayum Nahra said that terrorists had no religion, as every religion of the world gave lesson of love and peace and respect for the humanity.
He added that the present wave of terrorism was a conspiracy against the nation and Islam.
MNA urged the Ulema, traders, teachers, social workers, politicians and notables to play their role in promoting religious harmony, brotherhood, unity, faith and peace in the society.
He further said that it was the demand of the day to forge unity and no one would be allowed to sabotage peace. He also urged the Ulema to help the administration promote harmony in the society.
He said that in the present scenario, early restoration of public confidence in police is highly needed for promotion of good policing.
The Tehsil Peace Committee has strongly condemned the Rawalpindi tragedy and termed a conspiracy to ruin peace in the country.
Anti-polio drive: Anti-polio drive was launched by HQ Nowshera Virkan in coordination with Office of the Assistant Commissioner here the other day.
DDO(Health) NV Sahibzada Dr Fareed told the media that 84,354 children up to five years of age would be administered anti-polio vaccine for which 213 teams had been formed, 27 fix points and six transit points have been establish for vaccination in the tehsil Nowshera Virkan.
He pointed out that a special anti-polio campaign control room had also been set up in THQ office for effective monitoring of the drive.
While inaugurating the anti-polio campaign,The DDO appealed parents to cooperate in with polio teams to ensure hundred per cent coverage across the Tehsil.
