Rally condemns sacrilegious movie

NOORPUR THAL – The Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat Mahaz took out ‘Labaik Ya Rasoolallah’ rally to protest against the anti-Islam movie and blasphemous caricatures.
The TNRM activists were carrying flags, placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the US, India and Israel. Thousands of people participated in the rally which started from Mohallah Hussainabad and culminated at Hashmi Chowk.
The participants chanted slogans against the US and Israel. Addressing the participants, the religious scholar Ejaz Mehdi said that those who attacked Malala Yousafzai were enemies of Muslims and friends of the US. He said that the Muslims should unite and the Ummah should take a stand for the dignity and honur of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
On the occasion, Allama Zaki Zainul Abidin said that the dream of durable peace in the world could not be materialized without adoption of the blasphemy law at the UN level. Advocate Malik Aziz Hussain Jara said that the Jews and Christians would fail to protect the blasphemer for long. He said that Muslims would do justice with those involved in blasphemy of the Holy Prophet Muhammdd (PBUH).
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Akhtar Hussain Taheem, Nigha Hussain Bhatti, Sajjad Hussain Taheem, Allama Abdul Khaliq Mehdi and other speakers said that there was need for global legislation to stop blasphemy. Later, the protesters staged a sit-in for more than one hour and dispersed peacefully.
