HAFIZABAD - The Pindi Bhattian Police have seized more than 25 kgs of explosive material packed in three sacks from a Sargodha-bound van near Pindi Bhattian Bypass here on Thursday.
According to police source, an unidentified person booked three sacks for Sargodha. When the van (LHN-718) reached a police picket set up near Pindi Bhattian, the police during usual checking of the van found three suspicious sacks. Later on thorough search it turned out to be explosive material packed in these sacks. The police have arrested Saif and Nasr driver and conductor and have impounded the van. The police started interrogating the driver and conductor to ascertain who had booked the consignment.
A case has been registered. Further investigation is in progress.
