Islamabad: According to survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 58% Pakistanis mentioned mangoes as their favorite fruit, 8% mentioned apples, 5% mentioned grapes and another 5% mentioned bananas.
A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Which summer fruit do you like the most?” In response to this question, 58% said that they liked mangoes the most, 8% said that their favorite fruit is an apple, 5% mentioned grapes, another 5% mentioned bananas, 4% mentioned watermelons, 3% mentioned melons and 2% stated plums to be their favorite fruit. 3% said none, 9% mentioned others and 3% did not respond, says a press release issued today.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1910 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during August 24 – August 31, 2015.
