Girls top BA, BSc exams

Girls established unchallenged hegemony on the position table in B.A./B.Sc. Annual Examination 2015 held by Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan as they clinched all the three overall top positions, disclosed result notification.
The first position was grabbed by Maryam Anwar, Roll No-43994, student of a private college of Multan, as she took 702 marks. Sonia Fayya, Roll No-43988, of the same private college, stood second with 699 marks while Rania Riaz, Roll No-43579, also student of another private college, was declared third with 692 marks.
The result was announced by the Controller of Examination BZU Dr. Aman Ullah who disclosed that a total of 50962 candidates appeared in the examination and 16672 got through, showing 32.71 per cent success ratio. All three top positions in both B.Sc. and B.A. groups were won by the girls.
According to the result notification, all the three top positions in BSc Group were won by the three overall position holders. A total of 16812 students took the examination under this group and 7690 were declared successful.
Thus the overall success ratio in this group stood at 45.74 per cent.
The top position in B.A Group was taken away by Ujala Shabbir, Roll No-4928, student of Government College for Women Taunsa, who took 618 marks.
Similarly, Iqra Mushtaq, Roll No-1828, student of Government College for Women Jalalpur Pirwala, stood second with 608 marks and a private candidate Maryam Javed, Roll No-10051, third with 603 marks.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor of BZU Kh. Alqama said that promotion of literacy and knowledge was key to success and the only way to put the country on path of progress was to educate the nation.
