QUETTA - Commander Southern Command, Lt-Gen. M Nasser Khan Janjua on Friday said Pakistan National Flags were being hoisted across Balochistan now as its youth have abandoned gun and opted for pen.
He was addressing at the inauguration ceremony of hostel of Frontier Corps Boys School in Ghaza Band Scouts Quetta.
He said that weapons had been taken from youth of Balochistan and they have been given pen and now high number of them has been learning education. "God Almighty teaches us the word 'Iqra' which leads to development,” he said.
Balochistan could not prosper without promoting education he said. "The way of development passes through education and we have to equip our youth with it," he added.
The Commander Southern Command said that people of Balochistan had played significant role in steering their province out of crisis and chaos. "We appreciate people of Balochistan who also played their due role in making their province peaceful," he added.
Janjua said that youth and children had also played their remarkable role in bringing their province out of chaos and adding that as a result, peace has now been returning to Balochistan.
The Commander Southern Command said that Pakistan Army, FC and the Balochistan government have jointly been making their efforts to promote education in the province to put it on the track of development.
Two bullet riddled bodies found in Chaman
Two bullets riddled and unidentified bodies were recovered here on Friday. Levies sources said that dwellers spotted the presence of two death bodies at Rehman Kahol Road in Chaman. Levies men after being informed reached the scene and shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital Chaman for medico-legal formalities and identification. Levies sources said that it seems the deceased were killed after being kidnapped and their bodies were dumped in the said area. A case has been registered against unidentified murderers and investigation was in progress.
