QUETTA – Three people including a woman were killed in different incidents of violence, while a tehsildar of Bolan district escaped a bomb blast Thursday.
Armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire in Killi Mubarak area here, killing a person identified as Mehrab Bakhsh on the spot.
The motorbike-riding assailants managed to flee from the scene. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities. However, motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
In another incident, two people including a woman were shot dead in Sibi district. Levies sources said that armed men shot dead a woman and her alleged lover Zahid Ali who were on way to Sibi for court marriage.
Their bodies were shifted to a local hospital for autopsy and later handed them over to heirs for burial. A case has been registered and further investigations were underway.
Moreover, a tehsildar escaped a bomb attack in Bolan district. Levies officials said that Qazi Pervez was on his way after examining a development work when explosives planted along the road near Sanihampada went off.
However, Qazi remained unhurt in the blast but his three guards Nasrullah, Zehshan and Arshad sustained injuries.
“Explosives were detonated through remote controlled device,” sources said.
However, no group or individual has claimed responsibility.
