RAWALPINDI - A 9th class female student along with five of her other class fellows went missing mysteriously from a public school at Wilayat Colony, Chaklala Scheme III, in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Airport.
The missing students included Iqra Nasim, Wajiha, Areeba, Waleed, Abu Bakkar and Hamza, all are students of class 9th. Police registered a case on the complaint of mother of one of the missing students and launched investigation. On the other hand, the school administration was trying to hush up the matter whereas the parents of missing students expressed their deep concern over the strange behavior of school administration and asked police to recover the students.
According to police, Kausar Perveen wife of Muhammad Nawaz, resident of Street No 10, Chaklala Scheme No III, appeared before PS Airport officials and lodged a complaint that he daughter Iqra Nasim was studying in APSIS School System in class 9th. On 19/1/2012, the mother mentioned, Iqra went school but did not return home. She accused five of students of the school of kidnapping her daughter and sought a legal action against the accused. Police, taking action, filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Wajeeha Asghar, Areeba Akram, Waleed Asghar, Abu Bakar and Hamza Ali and started investigation. Sub Inspector (SI) Ansar Hussain, who is handling the case, did not receive his mobile phone when this scribe contacted to get his point of view in this regard. On the other hand, the missing of six students created a panic among the top ranks of police while several police parties have been constituted which were conducting raids at different localities to recover the missing students.
Till the filing of the case, police were busy in investigation.
