ISLAMABAD Member of National Assembly Faryal Talpur called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at the Prime Minister's House on Monday evening and discussed with him the overall development projects under way in various parts of the country. The Prime Minister said that the government was taking concrete steps for the well-being of the common man by exploring all available resources.He said that speedy completion of development projects would usher in a new era of progress and prosperity in the country particularly for the people living in less developed and remote areas.The Prime Minister said that Benazir Income Support Programme initiated by the government would mitigate the sufferings of vulnerable segment of society and help them to live with dignity and honour. He said that the government has also taken various steps for the empowerment of the womenfolk, which would go a long way to play their active role in the socio-economic development of the country. Faryal Talpur supported the government's endeavours for the betterment of the masses particularly living in backward areas of the country in order to bring them in the mainstream of national development.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
