ISLAMABAD- Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Maroof Afzal has approved the installation of tube wells for provision of water supply to the residents of Sector E-11 (Northern Strip).
The chairman CDA gave approval for installation of tube wells during a meeting held here on Monday to review the progress of development work and provision of water facilities in the area. Officers of CDA headquarters, Water Management Wing and other concerned formations of the Authority were also present in the meeting.
Maroof Afzal directed the Water Management Wing to install tube wells in Sector E-11 (Northern Strip), as sufficient allocation has already been made in budget of current fiscal year.
The chairman CDA was apprised that the Water Management Wing after a comprehensive survey of Sector E-11 (Northern Strip) has selected the sites for installation of these tube wells and after costing and estimation process tender notices of the said work has also been floated in media. The
chairman CDA was further informed that after opening of the tenders work on the project will be started immediately.
Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal directed the concerned formations to complete the project with in short span of time so that water requirements of the area could be catered. He said that development work in Sector E-11 (Northern Strip) has already been completed so provision of other basic amenities must be ensured at the earliest. He also directed to carry out sanitation and maintenance work in the area.
