Expressing strong reaction on Israeli terrorism and killing of over 500 Palestinians, parliamentary leader of Jamaat-e-Islami in Punjab Assembly, Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar demanded the government to convene an International Conference against Israeli atrocities.
Talking to journalists here on Monday, he lamented that Jewish terrorist forces martyred 112 children and 52 women besides others over the past 14 days but international community kept mum on this barbarianism.
He said that the media reports revealed that American forces also accompanied Israeli forces in the massacre. He regretted that over 100 Palestinians were martyred in just one day but the criminal silence of world in general and Muslim states in particular was highly condemnable. He urged upon Muslim Ummah to support Palestinian brothers and sisters at this difficult.
KBP WARNS GOVT: President of Kissan Board Pakistan (KBP) South Punjab Malik Fayyazul Hassan Bhutta warned the government that it is forcing farmers to launch civil disobedience movement in the country. In a statement issued here on Monday, he added that pro-India policies of the rulers delivered irreparable losses to the national agriculture. He maintained that increase in power tariff and prices of agricultural inputs as well as imposition of agricultural income tax, agriculture sector got completely ruined. He regretted that the government was bent upon agriculture on dictation of IMF. "Elimination of subsidy on tube-well connections and increase of Rs27 per unit is nothing but enmity with agriculture. The time has come to launch a countrywide drive against government," he declared.
