District Coordination Officer Naseem Sadiq said it was the top priority of the City District Government to provide maximum facilities to the citizens at Sunday Bazaars.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting held in connection with Sunday Bazaars at Nadir Hall on Friday. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioners, Town Administrators, officers of Solid Waste Management Company, Labour Department and TMOs. Addressing the meeting, Naseem Sadiq stated that there would be no compromise on the quality of vegetables, cleanliness and presence of employees in Sunday Bazaars.
“Landa Bazaars should be established adjacent to Sunday Bazaars. Cleanliness of Public toilets should also be ensured and pumping out of rain water, in case of rain, should be ensured”, he added. The DCO also stated that veterinary doctors and food safety officers should regularly check the quality of meat at Sunday Bazaars and officials should ensure the availability of hygienic meat in Sunday Bazaars. He also directed Price Control Magistrates to submit fine receipt books with bank deposit receipts of fine.–Staff Reporte
