QUETTA - A police officer was shot dead here in Kechhi Baig area of Sariab Road on Saturday. According to police, unidentified armed assailants opened fire on Head Constable Naseebullah in the area leaving him seriously injured. “He succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to a hospital,” the police said. Meanwhile, three persons were injured in cross-firing between two rival armed groups on Mohammad Ali Jinnah Road in the provincial capital. The identity of injured could not be ascertained who had been admitted to Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
