PESHAWAR (APP) - The process to expel family members of the absconding militants has started in Swat district after the expiry of the deadline as on the first day, 25 families of the hiding militants were expelled from Malakand Division. The deadline to the militants, absconding has expired on May 20 as 115 ultras presented their voluntary arrest to the forces in the district. Nipki Khel Qaumi Jirga had given deadline for voluntary arrest to the militants. The families were driven out of the Malakand division in vehicles provided by the local administration. The families expelled would be kept in specific camps outside Malakand Division, a member of the Nipki Khel jirga told this news agency. The elders of Nipki Khel tribe had announced in the jirga held at FC Camp Kanju that the families of those failing to surrender would be expelled if they did not surrender. Only 115 surrendered while majority of them are still absconding. Three families from Ningolai, seven each from Bara Bandai, Koza Bandai, and one each from Deharai, Damghar, Kanju, Hazara, Deolai, Seranai, Kabal Khas and Sogay areas expelled.
