ISLAMABAD - The lawyer community, which brought revolutionary changes in the countrys political and constitutional outlook, now needs to come up to the expectations by providing justice to people at their doorsteps. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, addressing the participants of 16th Roll Signing Ceremony of newly enrolled advocates of Supreme Court, said that due to the efforts of legal fraternity and other segments of society through the movement of rule of law of the confidence of public in judiciary and black coats has enhanced. The ceremony was held in the Supreme Court building, on Saturday in which 30 new advocates were enrolled as advocates of Supreme Court. The Chief Justice said, It is indeed a matter of great pleasure for me to receive all of you in Supreme Court building for roll signing ceremony as advocate Supreme Court. Prior to it you might have been coming in the court, but henceforth you will be entering the court as an advocate Supreme Court. While you entered this profession you might have dreamt to be an advocate Supreme Court. Today your dream is realised as you have been enrolled as advocate Supreme Court and declared fit for practice in the apex court. As Supreme Court exercises appellate and original jurisdiction so, you will have to assist the court in interpretation of the Constitution in an appropriate manner as your assistance is also transformed in judgments which are put on annals of history for the times to come, added Justice Iftikhar. Encouraging the newly enrolled advocates, he said, I am quite confident that you would be putting all your efforts to assist the bench in dispensation of justice to facilitate the litigants and civil society and you would be working for supremacy of Constitution, rule of law and upholding the independence of judiciary. The advocates who singed the roll are Chaudhry Muhammad Shuaib, Mian Muhammad Saeed, Syed Anwar Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Qaiser Amin, Tillat Abbas, Sardar Muhammad Tariq Dreshak, Muhammad Farooq, Sarkar Abbas, Shahina Akbar, Shaista Altaf, Israr Ahmed Abbasi, M D Shahzad Feroz, Mian Irfan Akram, Abdul Rehman Khan, Muhammad Akram Gondal, Anis Muhammad Shahzad, Malik Jawad Khalid, Nisar Ahmad Mujahid, Arshad Mahmood Sheikh, Masooda Siraj, Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Bhajandas Tejwani, M.
