Two charred bodies found near Pak-Afghan border in Balochistan

QUETTA: Two charred bodies and the remains of a car were found in a deserted area near the border with Afghanistan on Sunday.

The unidentified bodies have been taken to Civil Hospital Quetta.

The militant-infested Pak-Afghan border region in Balochistan saw unprecedented American bombardment which was authorized by United States President Barack Obama, the Pentagon said on Saturday.

Afghan officials, who spoke on the condition that they not be named as they were not authorized to speak to media on the subject, said the drone strike took place in Balochistan's Ahmad Wal area.

American officials said the target of the strikes, Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Mansour, was "likely killed".
