OUR STAFF REPORTER MAILSI - Mailsi Tehsil Head Quarter (THQ) Hospital doctors are not seen during their duty time daily, TheNation learnt here Friday. According to reliable resources, most of the doctors run their private clinics and hospitals near-by the THQ Hospital and they go to their clinics after signing on attendance register. Even there is only one doctor in Emergency Ward to handle the huge number of emergency patients, they said, adding, the people of area are facing problems due to this horrible situation. Sources said that the upper building of Emergency Ward is empty and acting medical superintendent has allowed his favourites to reside there. Meanwhile, there is not dengue ward in the hospital and Rs80 are charged from the patients for dengue test, while the govt has announced free test in govt hospitals. The locals urged the CM, Vehari DCO and Secretary Health to appoint a permanent medical superintendent and take stern action against the doctors who do not do their duties in the hospital.
