Khanewal police nail two gangsters

KHANEWAL - The police claimed to have busted two members of a dacoit gang involved in robberies at petrol pumps in different areas of the district.
The suspects were wanted by the police in a number of robbery cases in Abdul Hakim, Kacha Khu, Khanewal and Hawaili Koranga. According to DPO Ayyaz Saleem, the police had been after the gang for the last few months as its members had terrorised the owners and management of filling stations Jhang and Khanewal districts. He said that the district police had managed to arrest two important members of the gang identified as Muhammad Aslam and Mumtaz. He claimed that special teams had been conducting raids to arrest the rest of the members of the gang. The DPO informed that the police had recovered Rs0.5 million, four cellphones, two motorcycles and illegal weapons from their possession.
