Prime Minister directs for minimum load shedding

ISLAMABAD- Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed to schedule minimum duration of electricity load-shedding in the country to avoid inconvenience for the consumers.

He was chairing a high level meeting today regarding the overall electricity and gas distribution system in the country. Nawaz Sharif directed that strict legal action should be taken against people involved in gas and electricity theft.

He said the government has made legal measures more stringent against electricity and gas theft. He directed that electricity dues should be recovered on priority and a report in this regard be presented in a week. He said severe action will be taken against the heads of distribution companies that are not performing.
