A soldier was killed and two others sustained injuries in a blast near checkpost of Frontier Corps (FC) in Kurram Agency.
Security sources said the incident occurred in Bezo Sar, Shaheedano Dhand area in the morning.
The soldiers were on routine patrol when an improvised explosive device exploded near them.
Soon after the incident local people rushed to the site and shifted the injured persons to nearby hospital.
After the incident security forces launched a search operation in the area.
Another security personnel was killed and three others seriously injured in an explosion in in Api Kor area of Mohmand Agency.
A Levy Sobedar Qasim said the FC and Levy forces were busy in search operation in the Api Kor area when an IED blasted killing Sepoy Rahat Shah.
